Teeth whitening

Today, there are no people who do not want to have a beautiful snow-white smile. White teeth have long been regarded as a sign of good health. Now in the era of social networks, everyone wants to look spectacular in the photo, emitting a bright smile. Therefore, it is understandable that the teeth whitening procedure is one of the most popular among dentists.

There are different methods of whitening and they are divided into home and office bleaching.

Homework is carried out by the patient independently for 7-10 days. In a pre-made individual mouthguard, a gel with a small amount of whitening substance is applied. Mostly these are gels based on hydrogen peroxide. Every day, a mouthguard has been worn for several hours or at night.

Teeth whitening procedure takes 1 hour and is carried out with the help of a special lamp. A special gel is also applied to the teeth and under the influence of a powerful light flux, the active substance reaches the pigment which gives the tooth a yellowish tint. Both methods have their advantages and disadvantages.

Teeth restoration

We are often approached to save bad teeth that other doctors refused. Yes, often with such teeth it is really already impossible to do something and they have to be removed. But given the development of modern techniques and technologies, a lot of teeth that are to be removed could be saved.

In order to save a tooth damaged by more than ⅔, and sometimes even to the gum, it is important to evaluate its condition according to several criteria. First, it is necessary to radiologically assess the state of the tooth root, its size, whether it will be able to withstand the load in the future. Also, by plotting the root surface with a special marker, we determine under the microscope whether the root has a hidden crack. If the tooth has passed all the tests successfully, then we apply a number of techniques that we use in such situations.

First, we take away all the necrotic tissue under the control of the tooth decay marker. Then we carry out high-quality treatment or retreatment of the root canals. Later, if the tooth is destroyed under the gum, using surgical or orthodontic techniques, we remove it a few millimetres above the gum so that the future crown holds firmly. And finally, the crown itself in such cases is also made using special technology – B.O.P.T., which gives an even more predictable and durable result.

Teeth extraction

There are situations when, with all our desire to save a tooth, it is already impossible and it has to be removed. The reasons can be different: an insufficient percentage of healthy tooth tissues, longitudinal root crack, evident tooth mobility of the 3rd and 4th degree, various purulent-inflammatory processes caused by infection of a timely untreated tooth, etc.

If the condition of the tooth is unsatisfactory and it has to be removed, it is necessary to make every effort to do this as accurately as possible, atraumatically, without undue pressure and, of course, painlessly.

The tooth is located in the bone alveolus and it is important to carry out the removal procedure very carefully not to damage this alveolus. It is necessary to create a new bone in place of the tooth, sufficient to install the implant in the future. To this end, we often fill the hole after removal with a special filler and suture. In addition to a better prognosis in the long run, it also prevents pain in the first days after removal and creates a healing process that is comfortable for the patient.
